Phoenix Open Breaks Single-Day PGA Tour Attendance Record

Yesterday's third round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open set a single-day PGA Tour attendance record with 179,022 fans "turning out" at TPC Scottsdale. The attendance "broke the mark of 173,210 established last year for the third round and brought the estimated weekly total to 467,030." If at least 71,327 fans attend today’s final round, the tournament will "break the weekly record of 538,356 set in 2008" (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 2/3).
