NFL Honors: A Favre-Rodgers Moment Of Levity; Peterson Named MVP

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers and former NFLer Brett Favre were presenters for the NFL “Comeback Player of the Year” award during last night's “NFL Honors” telecast on CBS. Favre said, “You know what Aaron? Everybody loves a good comeback.” Rodgers responded, “Yeah not always. Some people wish great players would just retire and stay retired.” Favre then patted Rodgers on the back and said, “Good to see you too Aaron.” Favre and Rodgers shared a partial hug and Rodgers added, “That was awkward” (“NFL Honors,” CBS, 2/2).

Also in the show, Vikings RB Adrian Peterson was named MVP and Offensive Player of the Year, while Texans DE J.J. Watt was named Defensive Player of the Year (NFL).
