Late Night TV Hosts Spoof Eye-Popping Value Of Disney-Fox Deal

CBS’ Stephen Colbert had fun with Disney’s $52.4B purchase price for certain Fox assets: “Coincidentally, that is how much it costs a family of four to go to Disney World.” Disney is not acquiring Fox Sports, the Fox network or Fox News, “which really is surprising, because you’d think the masters of fantasy and imagination would want to be bought by Disney” (“Late Show,” CBS, 12/14). NBC’s Jimmy Fallon on Disney not buying Fox News: "I guess Disney was like, ‘Thanks, but we've already got enough cartoon characters. We're good’" (“The Tonight Show,” NBC, 12/14). ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel said the "bad news" about the deal is, "now we only have about $300 left to make the next ‘Star Wars’ movie” (“Jimmy Kimmel Live,” ABC, 12/14).
