Laugh Track: Iron Mic

Actor and comedian Jamie Foxx appeared on NBC’s “The Tonight Show” where he discussed performing stand-up comedy, specifically in the show where he gets to his “Mike Tyson joke." Foxx: "That's where I usually, like, get a standing ovation, and when I get to the joke, nobody laughs. You know why? Because Mike Tyson is in the building. It was crazy because that's when Mike Tyson was like knocking people out for just smiling. ... I get to that joke and somebody yells, ‘Mike is in here.’” Foxx added, “Then the dude yelled out, ‘Mike said you can do the joke, but that [EXPLETIVE] better be funny.’ So man there's the pressure … (but) the joke goes over, it's a standing ovation and then Mike comes up to me. ‘There he is!’” Foxx said Tyson playfully “tapped me on the chest (and) my chest caved in” (“The Tonight Show,” NBC, 5/25).

TBS’ Conan O’Brien: “The FAA is investigating why a drone appeared in the sky during a San Diego Padres game. Authorities have already ruled out the possibility that someone wanted to actually watch a Padres game” (“Conan,” TBS, 5/25).
