Cubs Among Big Winners At '17 Sports Business Awards In N.Y.

The Cubs’ Tom Ricketts was named Sports Executive of the Year at the '17 Sports Business Awards last night in N.Y. The Cubs were honored as Sports Team of the Year, and MLB was named Sports League of the Year.

Almost 900 people attended the event at the Marriott Marquis at Times Square. Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the industry. The award was presented by longtime sports broadcaster and NFL play-by-play announcer Al Michaels.
