Laugh Track: Hall Pass

Hockey HOFer Wayne Gretzky appeared on TBS’ “Conan” last night to promote his new book, “99 Stories of the Game.” Gretzky talked about going to the Hockey HOF with his son, who was born after Gretzky retired and “really didn’t know my career.” At the HOF, Gretzky and his son participated in an “interactive” section where fans can take shots on goal. Gretzky: “So we got in line with all these kids, my son got out there and he was four for five and he said, ‘Dad, you should try this.’ I said, ‘Okay, I’ll try it.’ I’m 0 for three and the kid who was directing the line came over and said, ‘Sir, just move your hand down the stick a little bit.’ So I lifted my hat up and said, ‘Okay, I’m outta here.’” Host Conan O’Brien said of Gretzky’s rookie card selling recently for $465,000, “That’s unbelievable.” Gretzky: “I don’t know what’s more unbelievable: that it did that or that I don’t have any one of them” (“Conan,” TBS, 10/25).

Last night’s edition of NBC’s “The Tonight Show” featured the segment “Today I Learned,” in which host Jimmy Fallon and the crew tell the audience different things they learned throughout the day. Fallon said, “Today I learned that as an American, it's important to get out there and vote, because if you don't, Ryan Lochte could win ‘Dancing With The Stars’” (“The Tonight Show,” NBC, 10/25).
