Arsenal Addresses Empty Seats Issue At Annual General Meeting

EPL club Arsenal today held its annual general meeting, in which team officials and execs host shareholders, fans and journalists. A supporters' group had planned to urge the club to "consider rescinding the season tickets of holders who regularly fail to attend home games." Empty seats "became a big issue" at Emirates Stadium last season (ESPNFC.com, 10/24). Arsenal CEO Ivan Gazidis addressed the issue today, saying, "It is our responsibility to come up with a team and players you can believe in and comes down to players inspiring stadium to want to be behind them and with them" (MIRROR.co.uk, 10/24).
