Gronkowski Named "Madden" Cover Athlete On "SportsCenter"

EA Sports last night named Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski the cover athlete for “Madden NFL 17,” making him the first player at that position and the first Patriot to be on the cover of the popular video game franchise. The announcement led the 6:00pm ET SportsCenter, continuing a longtime partnership between EA Sports and ESPN. This cover reveal deviated from prior years in which the announcement was often held until later in the program. The game will be released on Aug. 23.

See today's issue of THE DAILY for more on Gronkowski, who appeared on "SportsCenter" and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
