EPL Champions Leicester City Not Rushing To Sell Players

Leicester City's Thailand-based ownership group today voted to "resist any pressure to sell the much-coveted stars who have propelled them to an unlikely" EPL title. Speaking to Thai TV, club Vice Chair Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha said that the club was "under no pressure to sell." He said, "Leicester is not the team that will sell players. ... All players want to stay and want to see how far the team can go ... everyone is happy" (AFP, 5/3).

Actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau appeared on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show With Trevor Noah” last night and talked about Leicester City. He said putting it “into context at the beginning of the season, they were 5,000-1 to win. It’s like a year ago if someone had said, ‘In a year’s time Donald Trump will be the candidate for president.’ It’s almost as absurd.” Comedy Central’s Trevor Noah said, “And just as many people are going crazy about it” (“The Daily Show With Trevor Noah,” Comedy Central, 5/2).
