T-Mobile Renews MLB Sponsorship For Additional Three Years

T-Mobile has renewed its MLB sponsorship rights for an additional three years. The deal includes title sponsorship to the Home Run Derby, held the night before the All-Star Game. T-Mobile last year sponsored the All-Star Game itself. The renewal also includes title rights to a new youth Home Run Derby competition and gets T-Mobile subs a free year’s subscription to MLB.TV Premium.

T-Mobile has been an MLB sponsor since '13. Prior to that, the cellular service brand was an NBA sponsor from '05-11. After Sprint failed to renew last year, NBA officials met with T-Mobile marketers last summer in Seattle in an attempt to bring them back, but Verizon signed with the NBA just as the current season began.
