Hundreds Of Thousands Expected For Broncos' Super Bowl Parade

Denver officials expect crowds in the "hundreds of thousands" for today's Broncos Super Bowl championship parade, and the crowd could swell "beyond the rough estimate of 650,000" who attended the Broncos' parade in '98. The forecast calls for noon MT temperatures "nearing 50 degrees." A total of 22 fire trucks will carry players, "some accompanied by family," along with coach Gary Kubiak, Exec VP/Football Operations & GM John Elway, members of the Bowlen family, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock and Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper (DENVER POST, 2/9).

Broncos QB Peyton Manning yesterday afternoon took part in a parade at Disneyland. He "did not do the iconic 'I'm going to Disneyland' post-Super Bowl commercial, at least not immediately after the game." Instead, he said that he was "taking his kids to Disneyland" (ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER, 2/9).

Meanwhile, nearly 1,000 Panthers fans last night waited outside Bank of America Stadium to give the team a "warm welcome home," celebrating a "winning season despite the Super Bowl 50 loss." The team landed at Charlotte Douglas Int'l Airport at around 6:30pm ET before heading to the stadium (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 2/9).
