Waste Management Phoenix Open Shatters Attendance Record

The PGA Tour Waste Management Phoenix Open "broke its total attendance record" over the weekend, reaching 618,365 thanks in part to a Sunday turnout of 65,330. The previous high of 564,368 was set in '15. With 27 more boxes at the tourney this year "that cost around $50,000," event organizers the Thunderbirds are "sure to bring in more" than the $32.4M in revenue from the '14 tournament (BIZJOURNALS.com, 2/7).
