New Premium Seating At Daytona Int'l Speedway Selling Well

Daytona Int'l Speedway is off to a strong start selling new premium seats as part of the track's $400M renovation. The track to date has sold 43 group suites along the front stretch with 13 units remaining, according to DIS President Joie Chitwood III. The inventory is split into products: High Bank suites, priced at $120,000 with a view of the action, cover eight days of NASCAR racing in '16. The Midway suites, a bunker-style product with no view of the track, cost $53,000 alone for the Daytona 500.

The track additionally has sold at least half of the seats tied to 50 eight-person loge boxes and Harley J's, a 500-seat all-inclusive club developed late in the design process. The premium upgrades are part of the final phase of Daytona's multiyear renovation.
