Cuban Official Says National Baseball Team Will Play Orioles

The Orioles will become the first MLB team to play in Cuba "since a diplomatic thaw," with a Cuban official saying that the club will play Havana's national team. National Institute of Sport Dir Antonio Becali, quoted on Radio Habana Cuba, said, "A clash with the Orioles is planned. ... But the date has not been set yet." The two teams played each other in '99, with one game in Havana and another in Camden Yards (AFP, 5/26).
