UM Regents Approve Athletics Project Named For Dolphins Owner

Univ. of Michigan regents yesterday approved design of a $168M Olympic sports complex "that will house men and women's track and field, cross country, lacrosse and women's rowing." The 280,000-square-foot Stephen M. Ross Athletics South Competition & Performance Project will include an "indoor and outdoor track competition venue that will accommodate 2,000 and 500 spectators, respectively." There will also be an indoor rowing tank and 2,000-seat lacrosse stadium (DETROIT NEWS, 5/22). The complex was "made possible in part" by Ross' $100M naming gift (MLIVE.com, 5/21).
