Conference USA Hires PR Firm To Make Marshall's Case For CFP

Conference USA has hired PR firm Brener Zwikel & Associates to "help promote the conference and make Marshall's case with respect to the first College Football Playoff." The firm, which counts the Rose Bowl, Dodgers and Speedo as clients, sent out a release highlighting Marshall's 7-0 record, No. 22 ranking in the Amway Coaches Poll and "non-Power Five conference affiliation" (USATODAY.com, 10/24). BZA President Steve Brener said the firm was approached by C-USA about 10 days ago to "maximize their visibility and awareness about their football program" (FOXSPORTS.com, 10/24).
