Astros To Conduct Nearly $5M Renovation Of Mazda Club Level

The Astros today will announce they will conduct an offseason renovation of the Mazda club level and upper deck at Minute Maid Park. Among the planned improvements are new flooring and paint, a repositioning of several club level food and beverage stands to allow for clearer fan views and new infrastructure for many of the concession stands on that level. A ticket sales office on the third-base side of the club level will also be converted into a high-end eating venue.

The upper deck work will mirror that done on the main level last winter, and include branded and renovated concessions stands in partnership with concessionaire Aramark, and additional signage and lighting. The total cost of the latest projects will near $5M and is part of continuing work by Astros Owner Jim Crane to upgrade the 14-year-old facility. Mazda signed on as the naming-rights partner for the club area in April and showcases several of its car models at the ballpark.
