In today’s Must Read, former U.S. Sen. John Sununu weighs in on the Ed O’Bannon v NCAA ruling: “If universities are going to compensate athletes for supporting multi-million dollar sports programs, the idea that these organizations are tax-exempt nonprofits becomes absurd” (BOSTON GLOBE, 8/18).

Barclays Center and Levy Restaurants have agreed to a multiyear extension, building on their BrooklynTaste food program that features offerings from 55 local restaurants and vendors (Nets).

Verizon IndyCar Series Milwaukee IndyFest GM Kevin Healy said that he had not seen ticket sales numbers but “expected them to be comparable to the past two years, which would put attendance in the 20,000-25,000 range” (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 8/18).
