Shelly Sterling Looks To Close Clippers Sale After Winning Court Case

L.A. County Superior Court Judge Michael Levanas yesterday “cleared the way” for the $2B sale of the Clippers, ruling that Shelly Sterling “acted properly when she removed her husband, Donald, from the family trust that owns the team.” Levanas sided with Shelly Sterling “on all substantive issues, brushing aside her husband’s contention that he had been duped into being examined by doctors who deemed him mentally incapacitated.” Shelly's attorneys hope the deal will close by Aug. 15 (L.A. TIMES, 7/29).

Shelly Sterling said, “I haven’t slept for two months. I’m going to sleep now” (WSJ.com, 7/28).
