Laugh Track....Giants Killer

Dodgers P Clayton Kershaw appeared on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last night, and said of a recent sweep of the Giants in S.F., it was a "happy flight" back to L.A. Kershaw: "We had a great time up there. Those fans are awesome. They’ll give it to you.” Jimmy Kimmel: “You like the Giants’ fans?” Kershaw: “They do their homework. I feel like they go on Google or Wikipedia. They have your dog’s name, your wife’s name, they come with it all.” Kimmel noted, "It’s a funny thing because, in a way, you’re complimenting them. You’re also encouraging them." Kimmel noted before the season started, Kershaw "signed a huge contract, a record-setting contract. I think it was – I'm not great at math – $80 billion a year. Did you buy anything special?" Kershaw: “Not yet, anyway. We had some friends over that night and had some Mexican food and played some ping-pong” (“Jimmy Kimmel Live,” ABC, 7/28).

CBS’ David Letterman: “Congratulations to baseball great Joe Torre, Yankee manager for many, many years, inducted in the Baseball Hall of Fame up there in Cooperstown. Anybody been to Cooperstown for the Baseball Hall of Fame? What a day, it’s great. It's hosted by Neil Patrick Harris. By the way, Joe Torre credits getting into the Hall of Fame for the use of four words in his career, ‘Okay, bring in Rivera!’ Joe Torre, quite a guy. In fact, he did thank Alex Rodriguez’ former girlfriends, Kate Hudson, Cameron Diaz, Madonna and Betty White" (“Late Show,” CBS, 7/28).
