Developmental Football League Awards Franchise To Former NFLers

Former NFLers Tommie Harris and Eric Bassey will own the Austin-based Texas Outlaws in the new FXFL, a football development league that it says will launch in the fall. The league plans to announce the news this morning. The league says it will be in eight cities during its inaugural campaign, with Austin now the first one to be publicly identified. “We’re excited to be the first owners announced for the FXFL, a league that is long overdue,” stated Harris in a statement included in the press release due out today. “The league will serve as a platform for NFL hopefuls striving to reach the professional level.”
