MLB will announce today at its owner meetings in N.Y. that it has formed a committee aimed at identifying candidates to succeed Commissioner Bud Selig, according to sources. The 79-year-old Selig has planned to retire when his current contract expires in January, despite three prior reversals of retirement plans.
