Longtime figure-skating marketer Steve Disson is moving his stable of skating/family entertainment TV shows to ABC, after more than 20 years on NBC. Beginning this fall, four two-hour specials will be taped by IMG Productions for broadcast on ABC via a time buy by Disson Skating and an agreement by ABC to promote the package. The shows will run 4:00-6:00pm ET on Sundays in the fall, serving as counter programming against NFL telecasts, and late Saturday afternoons in the winter. The result will be 16 hours of programming on ABC from Disson Skating, twice as many hours as NBC had been showing.
