Texas A&M Licensing Royalties Continue To Climb Since Move To SEC

Texas A&M’s move to the SEC continues to pay off. The school yesterday closed the books on its '12-13 licensing business, which generated $3.9M in royalties, a year-over-year increase of 22%. The Aggies made $3.2M in licensing revenue during the '11-12 year, which was up 23%. In the two fiscal years since Texas A&M announced its move to the SEC, the school’s licensing has shot up from $2.6M. Atlanta-based CLC, a division of IMG College, serves as the school’s licensing agent. According to CLC’s most recent rankings, Texas A&M stands 14th nationally, up from 19th a year ago.
