St. Louis Likely To Expand Bidding For Future NCAA Events

The St. Louis Sports Commission (SLSC) today "will receive bid specifications for more than 500 NCAA events over four years and will then have until Sept. 26 to submit bids for events it wants to host." A new Missouri tax credit is "likely to expand the options" for SLSC President Frank Viverito and his staff, with events like the D-I women’s volleyball championship "now on their radar." It has been reported, but not announced, that St. Louis has been awarded the '17 SEC men's basketball tourney (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 7/15).
