Blackhawks Win Stanley Cup; Plans For Rally To Be Determined

The Blackhawks defeated the Bruins 3-2 in Game 6 last night to win the Stanley Cup, and a spokesperson for Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said that the city and the team "were planning a rally for sometime yet this week." Bill McCaffrey said that "no date was yet set." The plane carrying the team and the trophy arrived at O'Hare airport "shortly after" 4:00am CT (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 6/25). The rally will "most likely take place Thursday or Friday," as the city "still is working out the details" (, 6/24).

NHL licensee Reebok has unveiled the official Stanley Cup Champion hats and T-shirts, which are now being sold on (THE DAILY).

Prior to Game 6, Blackhawks Owner Rocky Wirtz "flew all the wives and children of his hockey players to Boston" (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 6/25).
