Blackhawks Win Stanley Cup; Plans For Rally To Be Determined

The Blackhawks defeated the Bruins 3-2 in Game 6 last night to win the Stanley Cup, and a spokesperson for Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said that the city and the team "were planning a rally for sometime yet this week." Bill McCaffrey said that "no date was yet set." The plane carrying the team and the trophy arrived at O'Hare airport "shortly after" 4:00am CT (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 6/25). The rally will "most likely take place Thursday or Friday," as the city "still is working out the details" (SUNTIMES.com, 6/24).

NHL licensee Reebok has unveiled the official Stanley Cup Champion hats and T-shirts, which are now being sold on Shop.NHL.com (THE DAILY).

Prior to Game 6, Blackhawks Owner Rocky Wirtz "flew all the wives and children of his hockey players to Boston" (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 6/25).
