NFL Jets, Monster.com Partner To Find New Team Website Reporter

The Jets this morning will announce that they will use Monster.com to find a new website reporter, a search process both the team and job-search website will promote. Monster.com, an NFL sponsor in '08 and '09, says the new initiative is part of its “Cool Jobs” program, in which it takes jobs that attract thousands of applicants and narrows a group of roughly a dozen for an employer. “We are trying to shine a light on Cool Jobs,” said Monster.com CMO, Ted Gilvar, who noted the Jets search is the company’s first with an NFL team. For the Jets, he added, the club gets exposure on Monster’s site, which attracts 15 million visitors monthly.

Monster.com is paying the Jets as part of the relationship, though the amount was not disclosed. The job is for website host and reporter to complement the current web reporter, Eric Allen. The new reporter will be announced the first home game of the season, against the Buccaneers on Sept. 8.
