Staples Center Switches From Ticketmaster To AEG's Axs System

Staples Center, effective today, has officially switched its ticketing operation to Axs Ticketing from Ticketmaster. Beyonce’s June 26 concert at Staples Center, which kicks off her upcoming tour, will be the first event offered exclusively through the Axs system. Tickets go on sale Feb. 11. AEG, owner and operator of Staples Center, launched Axs in February '11, and to date the company has installed the ticketing platform in 24 venues where AEG has an ownership stake or manages the facility.
In conjunction with the Staples Center transition, AEG announced it has acquired Carbonhouse, the Charlotte-based developer of mobile applications for sports and entertainment venues. In addition, AEG recently became an investor in Bypass Lane, the Austin-based developer of mobile concessions technology for arenas and stadiums.
