N.Y. Mayor Michael Bloomberg appeared on NBC’s “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” last night, with host Jimmy Fallon telling him, “You had a busy, busy 2012. I want to thank you for bringing the Nets to Brooklyn this year. That was very, very cool.” Bloomberg noted the Knicks are playing well this year and said, “It’d be great if we had two championship teams this year” (“Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” NBC, 1/3).

NBC’s Jay Leno: “This weekend the NFL playoffs begin. The Vikings will be playing the Packers. The Seahawks are playing the Redskins, I believe. The Jets will be playing Angry Birds. So it should be a lot of fun. … Well three-time U.S. Olympian and track star Suzy Favor Hamilton -- you know this story? -- has admitted she spent the last year working as a $600-an-hour call girl in Las Vegas, which is why instead of Wheaties, her picture is on a box of Trix” (“The Tonight Show,” NBC, 1/3).
