Belk Bowl Expecting At Least 40,000 For Cincinnati-Duke Matchup

Bank of America Stadium today will host Duke and Cincinnati in the Belk Bowl and bowl Exec Dir Will Webb said that he “expects a crowd of at least 40,000” for the game, “perhaps as many as 45,000.” It will be Duke’s first bowl appearance in 18 years and the school “sold more than 10,000 tickets through its ticket office” (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 12/27).

The Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl will feature Baylor taking on UCLA at Qualcomm Stadium and bowl officials are "expecting about 55,000 to attend" (PATCH.com, 12/27).

The Military Bowl will pit San Jose State against Bowling Green at RFK Stadium. Bowl organizers will "donate at least $100,000 to the USO, and will distribute 5,000 complimentary game tickets to military families" (WAMU.org, 12/25).
