MLB Productions' Giants World Series Video Being Released Today

MLB Productions and distributor A&E Home Video today will release its annual World Series retrospective DVD to retail, with the latest title chronicling the Giants' second championship in three seasons. An "orange-carpet premiere" will be held tonight in S.F. The creation of this year's film was complicated by Hurricane Sandy. Still, MLB Productions completed the 83-minute film just 12 days following the end of the Series, three days longer than the normal turnaround for the retrospective.
MLB Productions Exec Producer David Gavant: "We normally have to deliver the final film nine days after the end of the Series, and we what were able to do with A&E is basically treat this like a six-game series instead of the sweep that it was, which made a big difference."
