Fox Sports plans to announce a multiyear deal with Learfield Sports for Oklahoma State Univ. sports. Financials were not released. The partnership, which actually launched Sept. 1 with the Oklahoma State-Savannah State football game, allows Fox to carry one football game per year on a Fox cable platform, including FS Oklahoma, FS Southwest, FS Southwest Plus and Fox College Sports. Fox also gains the rights to distribute an undetermined number of men's basketball games, up to 20 Olympic sports, and non-game programming, like coaches shows or highlight shows. OSU retains streaming rights on its web sites for games that Fox does not distribute.
The announcement comes two months after Fox launched a Sooner Sports TV branded block of programming
through a deal with the Univ. of Oklahoma. Learfield also controls the rights at OU.
