Veteran Sports TV Exec Ed Goren To Advise India's Fledgling EFLI

Former top Fox Sports exec Ed Goren will advise the fledgling Elite Football League of India (EFLI), which is currently showing its first season tape-delayed on India’s Ten Sports. “Ed will be based here in the U.S., and he will be a very active consultant/advisor crafting strategic alliances from his long and successful career,” said Thomas O’Grady, a U.S.-based consultant for the league. “We are looking to start our second season in January and we envision Ed being onsite with Sandy from the opening kick.” Sandy is Sandy Grossman, an Emmy Award-winning director who produced the first season for the league.

The eight-team American football league staged its first season between July and early September, with the games now being aired on Ten Sports. “I am looking forward to working with Ten Sports as I did with CBS and Fox,” Goren said in a statement. “My intention is to help the EFLI become one of the most recognizable brands in India’s young, vibrant and growing sports industry.”
