Last year’s inaugural Carrier Classic, which aired on ESPN, featuring North Carolina and Michigan State was played on the flight deck of the USS Carl Vinson in San Diego and raised more than $500,000 for military-related causes. Morale Entertainment Foundation, the promoter of that event, is producing this year’s classic.
