Carrier Classic Expands To Doubleheader, With Coverage On NBCSN

The second annual Carrier Classic will be broadcast Nov. 9 on NBC Sports Network. The college basketball event this year has moved to the USS Yorktown in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and has expanded to a doubleheader. Ohio State plays Marquette in the men’s game, set to tip-off live at 7:08pm ET. The women’s matchup, Notre Dame-Ohio State, will be shown on tape-delay at 11:00pm.
Last year’s inaugural Carrier Classic, which aired on ESPN, featuring North Carolina and Michigan State was played on the flight deck of the USS Carl Vinson in San Diego and raised more than $500,000 for military-related causes. Morale Entertainment Foundation, the promoter of that event, is producing this year’s classic.
