MLB Expects 600 Attendees For Inaugural Diversity Business Summit

MLB today will hold its inaugural Diversity Business Summit in Chicago at the McCormick Place Convention Center. Some 600 people are expected to attend the job and business trade fair, league officials said. Taking part in the event are human resources and procurement execs from the league, its 30 teams, MLB Network, MLBAM, and 10 minor league teams. MLB Commissioner Bud Selig will deliver the keynote address at the summit. Also scheduled is “The Business of the Game – Owners’ Panel” featuring White Sox Chair Jerry Reinsdorf , Braves Chair Emeritus Bill Bartholomay, Indians Owner Larry Dolan, D’Backs President Derrick Hall, Yankees President Randy Levine, Astros President George Postolos and MLB CFO Jonathan Mariner.
