High-Profile Baseball Execs To Discuss Impact Of "Moneyball"

Villanova Univ. School of Law today will host its '12 Sports & Entertainment Law Symposium featuring a panel titled, "'Moneyball's' Impact on Business and Sports." Participating are Padres Vice Chair & CEO Jeff Moorad, A's VP & GM Billy Beane, Padres Senior VP/Baseball Operations Omar Minaya, MSNBC President Phil Griffin and former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell.

Moorad, a graduate of the school, is also slated to announce today a $5M donation to the school to create the new Jeffrey S. Moorad Center for the Study of Sports Law. The gift is the largest in the history of Villanova Univ. School of Law, and when completed, the new center will be one of several U.S. institutes in existence devoted to sports law study and research.
