Rich DeVos Wants Family To Own Magic Over The Long Haul

Magic Owner Rich DeVos in a rare interview last night said that his "family wants to remain owners of the Magic 'forever.'" DeVos prior to a home game against the Heat said, "Our goal is to keep the team in the family, as far as I know, forever. This isn't a franchise where we expect to dump it and get a bunch of money. If you do that, what do you do with the money? The team is great entertainment and a great satisfaction for a family. It's also a way to keep your family together" (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 2/9).

DeVos also said about the possibility of trading C Dwight Howard, "I don't want to trade him." Howard has asked to be traded and is eligible for free agency at the end of the season (ESPN.com, 2/8).
