MLB will begin a two-day owners meeting in N.Y. today. The Dodgers ownership situation is not on the formal agenda for tomorrow's concluding general session. But the issue will be the subject of several smaller sessions, including an update from current club monitor Tom Schieffer before the league's Executive Committee. Dodgers Owner Frank McCourt, as expected, is in N.Y. and will be attending.

Owners are also expected to unanimously approve the designation of Nolan Ryan as the new Managing General Partner of the Rangers, replacing the departed Chuck Greenberg.
