SI Golf Group Releases "Front9" App For iPhone And iPad

The SI Golf Group has released "Front9," a new mobile golf application for the iPhone and iPad. The $2.99 single-purchase product, the first such app from the SI Golf Group, features news, instruction tips, equipment reviews, travel content, and other information. Updated weekly, the format is structured around "nine essential items" golfers need to know. Launch sponsors are Fidelity, TaylorMade and Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday, and the trio will remain on the app through the second quarter.

"We think this will be a compelling way to get a quick sense of what's important and is happening in golf each week," said SI Golf Group publisher Dick Raskopf. "We're also going to get some really good learnings the other way, too, understanding better what's important to the consumer and having that additional touchpoint." This week's content predictably carries a heavy Masters focus.
