Lightning Today Will Announce Changes To Logo And Jersey

The Lightning will announce changes to their logo and jersey during a press conference this afternoon on the arena’s ice floor. It is part of a “brand and business transformation” under Owner Jeff Vinik, according to club officials. The team on Thursday will disclose details for a major renovation affecting all levels of the St. Pete Times Forum. The same group headed by Lightning CEO Tod Leiweke, which was responsible for developing Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, upgrades to Qwest Field in Seattle and a new NFL practice facility for the Seahawks, now turns its attention to making further improvements to the 15-year-old NHL venue.
