Cubs Holding Annual Team Convention In Chicago This Weekend

The annual Cubs Convention gets underway today at the Chicago Hilton. Tomorrow's agenda will feature a morning seminar with Tom, Todd, Peter and Laura Ricketts, "kicking off a busy day that includes a pair of tributes" to late Cubs broadcaster and player Ron Santo. Other highlights will be Mike Quade's "first chance to answer questions as manager" and seminars with both players and execs, including GM Jim Hendry and President Crane Kenney (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 1/14).
