USTA COO & Exec Dir GORDON SMITH is having his title changed to CEO & Exec Dir to better reflect his scope of responsibilities. The USTA also restructured its Community Tennis division, with KURT KAMPERMAN becoming USTA National Campus Chief Exec. CRAIG MORRIS also becomes Community Tennis Chief Exec and JEFF WATERS becomes Community Tennis Managing Dir (USTA).

HUSKIES' HIRE: Northeastern Univ. named Oakland Univ. AD JEFF KONYA to the same position. Konya "takes over for PETER ROBY, who will retire after 15 years at NU," including the last 10 as AD (BOSTON GLOBE, 1/10). Konya's "marketing acumen played a major role in putting mid-major Oakland University on the national map" (DETROIT NEWS, 1/10).

EXECS: As part of Endeavor acquiring Philadelphia-based branding and marketing agency 160over90, JOHN CAMPANELLA "will remain" CEO & Principal for the agency, reporting to Endeavor Global Marketing Exec VP ED HORNE "once the deal closes" (LATIMES.com, 1/9)....The MLL Atlanta Blaze named JIM PFEIFER President. Pfeifer previously served as team President from December '16 to May '17 (MLL)....Hendrick Motorsports named ALBA COLON Competition Systems Dir. Colon is “one of only a handful of female engineers to establish an extensive career in motorsports,” and will work to “enhance the team’s simulation programs, analytics platforms, data acquisition and communication technologies, and at-track research and development" (ESPN.com, 1/9)....Redskins strength and conditioning coach DEUCE GRUDEN is leaving to join the Raiders with his father, JON.
