Coca-Cola To Celebrate 90th Anniversary Of Olympic Partnership With Special Packaging

Coca-Cola today unveiled limited-edition packaging for the Pyeongchang Games, where the soft drink will celebrate its 90th anniversary as an Olympic sponsor. The packaging features action silhouettes of four already-signed athletes: bobsledder Elana Meyers Taylor, Paralympic snowboarder Amy Purdy, figure skater Nathan Chen and freestyle aerial skier Mac Bohonnon. The company today also said it will host several events highlighting the historical Olympics tie in the new year, including a “Gold Meets Golden” gathering of Hollywood and Olympic stars. Coca-Cola first sent 1,000 boxes of drinks to U.S. athletes at the 1928 Amsterdam Games, a project that later blossomed into a global rights deal with the IOC.
