Hyundai Sponsoring New Feature On Players' Tribune Where NFLers Visit Their College

The Players’ Tribune has signed Hyundai to sponsor a new video series titled “Homecoming” that features current and former NFL players returning to the schools where they went to college. The seven-episode series debuts Friday with former Steelers WR Hines Ward returning to the Univ. of Georgia. Other players featured in the weekly series include Saints RB Mark Ingram (Alabama) and former NFLers Maurice Jones-Drew (UCLA), Jake Long (Michigan), Derrick Brooks (Florida State), A.J. Hawk (Ohio State) and Priest Holmes (Texas). In each episode, which ranges from 4-6 minutes in length, the player will revisit their favorite places on campus, reunite with people from their university and get a glimpse at how things have changed since they left school. Hyundai is the third automaker to sponsor a TPT series. Toyota and GMC have also partnered with TPT on original branded content.

Asamoah is 2021 SBJ Forty Under 40 honoree. SBJ I Factor is a monthly podcast offering interviews with sports executives who have been recipients of one of the magazine’s awards.
