In DC, Scott Allen reported Redskins QB Kirk Cousins is selling a t-shirt on his website featuring the "buffalo nickel" and Redskins colors. Cousins said, "The buffalo nickel that was made back in the day, it says 1920, and I thought it was cool. Our equipment managers pointed it out to me, and it looks an awful lot like our Redskins logo. We put it on a shirt and we’re selling them at my website." The t-shirts are available for $29.99 on the recently redesigned KirkCousins.org. As with the “You Like That!” T-shirts that he sold during and after the '15 season, some of the proceeds will "benefit the International Justice Mission" (WASHINGTONPOST.com, 11/1).

BUCKEYES CLAIM WIN: In Columbus, Earl Rinehart reported Ohio State's latest trademark-infringement victory is "against a small" local t-shirt shop founded by former OSU basketball player Brandon Fuss-Cheatham. Besides the "obviously protected Block O and 'Ohio State University,' the shop has to toss any variation of the hands-up O-H-I-O or any calligraphy of 'Ohio' that’s even close to Script Ohio." Lamp Apparel said that it had "taken down any clothing bearing official Ohio State trademarks from its website, lampapparel.com, as of Aug. 31." It has "promised to destroy the offending articles that it has at its store" (COLUMBUS DISPATCH, 11/1).

TOTAL CONSCIOUSNESS: WOMEN'S WEAR DAILY's Jean Palmieri writes Bill Murray has "created what is being billed as the first performance blazer to be worn" on the golf course. William Murray Golf today will "unveil the Serious Business Tartan Blazer in the Murray family tartan pattern along with pants to match." It will retail for $210 on the William Murray Golf site. The jacket is just the "latest irreverent twist from the William Murray Golf collection" (WWD.com, 11/2).
