Marketplace Roundup

Aspen Dental is not expected to return to Stewart-Haas Racing next year, according to sources, amid the forthcoming departure of driver Danica Patrick. The dental-care chain signed on to sponsor the NASCAR team in '15 for four primary races and this year increased its investment to a double-digit amount on SHR’s No. 10 Ford driven by Patrick after the unexpected departure of Nature’s Bakery. Longtime CMO Mark Censoprano left the company in January and was replaced by William Setliff, a veteran marketer who is said to be re-evaluating Aspen Dental’s marketing strategy (Adam Stern, Staff Writer).

THE AIR UP THERE: FAST COMPANY's Jeff Beer noted Jordan Brand has launched Air Jordan Online Collection, a content hub "featuring stories, original shoe sketches," designs and images. The content will "come from both the sneakerhead community collectors, and brand’s own archives." The brand will also be "enlisting photographers, collectors, entertainers, and others to create content for the site." Jordan Brand Global Dir of Digital Dan Harbison said that it is "not just a museum-like paean to the past, but a living content hub that will expand and evolve weekly" (FASTCOMPANY.com, 10/18).

NOTES: Farmers Insurance's partnership with golfer Rickie Fowler has been extended for three years from '18-20. Fowler has been a brand ambassador since '12 and will support the Farmers community and marketing initiatives during the Farmers Insurance Open in January and throughout the year (Farmers)....Red Bull has partnered with Tempo Storm for an official sponsorship of the esports organization (ESPORTSOBSERVER.com, 10/19).
