Lagardère Plus Creates Umbrella Brand For Company's Consulting Efforts

Lagardère Sports & Entertainment has launched Lagardère Plus, a global agency that will incorporate Lagardère's existing global consulting businesses. Those include agencies akzio! and Zaechel Int. in Germany and Sponsorship 360 in France, all of which will be rebranded as Lagardère Plus. The venture will also take on new strategic, creative, digital and analytics capabilities (Lagardère). Terry Lefton in this week's SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL reports Lagardère has also "acquired London-based creative agency Brave, whose clients include Amazon Prime." That adds to Lagardère's seven agencies and "more than 300 employees globally." Lagardère North America President & CEO Andy Pierce said that the purpose is to have a "more unified offering to compete with the likes of Momentum Worldwide, Octagon and IMG, and to have sports, entertainment and sponsorship marketing of all types housed in one group." Pierce: "We aspire to be the global solution for global brands, so this is a big step in that direction" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 10/16 issue).
