In San Jose, Daniel Mano noted Warriors G Klay Thompson appears in his "newest Anta Shoes commercial" to promote his new Gold-Blooded Anta KT3 shoe. Thompson in the spot sits "smiling in a bath" filled with the shoes. In the 24-second clip, "with the song 'Who Do You Love?' by YG and Drake playing, Thompson tries to call someone using a sneaker and dances around" (MERCURYNEWS.com, 10/9).

NEXT HOLE: TaylorMade Golf said it has "mutually agreed" to end its relationship with Sergio Garcia. GOLF DIGEST's E. Michael Johnson noted the company is releasing him from the "remaining years of his contract." The move "does not come as a huge surprise to those in the industry as there have been whispers of Garcia possibly going to Callaway." Garcia for years "carried the load as the company's international icon, but with the addition of Rory McIlroy earlier this year, that role is filled." Garcia had been a TaylorMade endorser since '03 (GOLFDIGEST.com, 10/9).

ANGER MANAGEMENT
: In Newark, Dunleavy & Sargeant report New Jersey-based athletics apparel company Anger Sports is suing Rutgers and offensive line/assistant head coach A.J. Blazek, "claiming 'illegal use'' of its Rare Breed registered logo." Rare Breed is "described on its website as a lifestyle apparel company." It is trademarked under the umbrella of Anger Sports, which was founded in '07 by John Ciurciu. Rare Breed is worn by Saints RB Adrian Peterson, Texans LB Brian Cushing and CBS' Phil Simms and has "designed custom shirts for the strength and conditioning staff and student-athletes of Coastal Carolina's football program" (Newark STAR-LEDGER, 10/10).

PALES IN COMPARISON
: In Phoenix, Mike Sunnucks reported the Coyotes and Arizona-based SanTan Brewing are "partnering on a new craft beer" called Yotes Pale Ale. The craft beer will be "sold in cans at liquor and grocery stores." SanTan’s Yotes Pale Ale has "already been sold on draft at Coyotes games at Gila River Arena since last November." The team donates $1 to the Coyotes Foundation for "every case sold" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 10/9).
