Dannon Yogurt Drops Cam Newton As Endorser After Sexist Comments

Dannon has "cut ties" with Panthers QB Cam Newton as an endorser following his sexist comments toward a female reporter, according to USA Today’s A.J. Perez. The company in a statement said in part, "We have shared our concerns with Cam and will no longer work with him." Newton had appeared in a national ad campaign for the company's Oikos brand (TWITTER.com, 10/5). However, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport talked to IMG/WME agent Carlos Fleming, who reps Newton, and said, “Dannon has not terminated the agreement, nor do they have grounds to” (TWITTER.com, 10/5).
