All Rise: Aaron Judge's Rookie HR Record Sets New Sales Mark For Topps

Yankees RF Aaron Judge has set another sales record for the Topps Now daily on-demand card service with a release commemorating his new rookie record of 50 home runs in a season. Topps said it sold 16,138 cards relating to the milestone Judge homer, breaking a single-card sales mark set last year with a release for Marlins RF Ichiro Suzuki gaining his 3,000th MLB hit. Topps earlier this year set one-day regular-season sales marks for multi-card releases relating to Judge winning the Home Run Derby and the Yankees retiring Derek Jeter's No. 2 jersey. However, this latest Judge release sets a new record for sales of a single Topps Now card. Judge now holds four of the top six and five of the top 10 selling Topps Now cards since the program’s introduction at the beginning of the '16 season. With the base cards selling for $9.99 each and special autographed versions selling for as much as $4,999.99, the latest Judge release generated another six-figure day of revenue for Topps. The company in the next several days also expects to surpass the one-million mark in overall sales of Topps Now MLB cards.
